Directions to 25 W. Maple Avenue Penns Grove, NJ 08069 NOTE: GPS Systems will get you to our location, but the directions below may help you take an alternate route that does involve the NJ Turnpike, etc...The info below may also help you identify our house--the house numbers on W Maple Avenue ARE NOT in order. Penns Grove can be reached by traveling south down New Jersey's I-295 and exiting at Exit 4 (Route 48, Penns Grove/Woodstown exit.)At stop sign at top of exit ramp, turn right, then proceed until the 2nd red light (about 1˝ miles—this is Rt. 130 (AKA Virginia Ave)—– You will see a Rite-Aid Drug Store on the left hand corner across the street, and a Speedy gas station on the right across the street .) Turn left (South) on Rt. 130, and proceed about 7/10s of a mile. You will see a school complex on the right, and a YMCA building in the distance ahead of you. As Rt. 130 curves to the left, you want to bear to the right and turn right (you must yield to cars turning from northbound on Rt. 130) into EAST MAPLE Avenue (there is a directional sign that says E. Maple). Continue on E. Maple past the schools, and E. Maple will become W. Maple. 25 W. Maple is on the right side of the road (two houses after you pass the “115 Miles to New York City” sign. If you run into the Delaware River, you’ve passed the house, so go back a few hundred feet. You are welcome to pull into and park in the driveway that is just before the house. If you come over the Commodore Barry Bridge, you can follow Rt. 322 to the junction with I-295 south, then follow directions above at top of page. Or, for a more direct route, after crossing the bridge into New Jersey (stay to the right as you come off the bridge), take the very first exit (Penns Grove, Rt. 130 South) and proceed on Rt. 130 until you come to the second traffic light (about 8 miles). There will be a Speedy gas station on your right. Continue STRAIGHT and proceed about 7/10s of a mile. You will see a school complex on the right, and a YMCA building in the distance ahead of you. As Rt. 130 curves to the left, you want to bear to the right and turn right (you must yield to cars turning from northbound on Rt. 130) into EAST MAPLE Avenue (there is a directional sign that says E. Maple). Continue on E. Maple past the schools, and E. Maple will become W. Maple. 25 W. Maple is on the right side of the road (two houses after you pass the “115 Miles to New York City” sign. If you run into the Delaware River, you’ve passed the house, so go back a few hundred feet. You are welcome to pull into and park in the driveway that is just before the house. When coming over the Delaware Twin spans, immediately upon arriving in NJ take the second exit (Rt. 130 North) on the right, go 2.9 miles on Rt. 130, then turn left at East Maple Avenue (there is a turning lane--the YMCA Building and a school with huge columns are on your left). Continue on E. Maple past the schools, and E. Maple will become W. Maple. 25 W. Maple is on the right side of the road (two houses after you pass the “115 Miles to New York City” sign. If you run into the Delaware River, you’ve passed the house, so go back a few hundred feet. You are welcome to pull into and park in the driveway that is just before the house. GPS directions, when coming over the Bridge sometimes refer to Rt. 130 as Broadway and/or Shell Road--it's all the same road). Alternate Route: It is also easy to follow the signs (stay to the right) to I-295 north. Follow I-295 north to exit 4.
